Though a Florida native, Penny Pax also grew up in several other places like Ohio, Hawaii, and New Zealand. She had been acting since she was seven years old—performing in live theater and musicals in both middle and high school—and when she became "bored" with being a lifeguard in Florida, decided to try her hand at modeling. After sending in a photo to a modeling agency, she was contacted to do a B/G scene in and adult movie and according to Pax, "I literally decided right there."

Beginnings
Penny acknowledges that she was a “fan of porn” before she ever got into the business (she loved watching James Deen) and remembers being hooked on it right away. When she realized she could be an actress in adult feature films and have sex on camera, she decided this was the right career for her; going on to say that she found her first sex scene to be "a liberating experience." Her first feature was The Dark Knight XXX: A Porn Parody where she played BatGirl; Pax said she was a bit overwhelmed on that set as that was the first time she was part of an expensive production with a large crew. Since then, she has become known for her distinctive eyewear and appearing in movies as the nerd among the crowd of hot girls.

But the "unassuming nerd" has a kinky side. Penny had her breakout role in the 2014 BDSM feature The Submission of Emma Marx. She said she related a lot to the character since she herself was just discovering BDSM shooting scenes for Kink.com. The movie won numerous awards and was also given the honor of being labeled one of the "Greatest Adult Films of All Time" by Paul Fishbein, founder of AVN Magazine.
