Small Hands is the son of a minister, and was born in raised in San Diego, California. He attended Grossmont College in El Cajon, California from 2000-2003, and graduated with an Associates' Degree in Graphic Design and Studio Arts. He supplemented his graphic design career by bartending and playing in bands. In 2010, he joined moderately successful 2000's pop-punk band Fenix Tx as bassist and background vocalist.

Relationship with Joanna Angel and Entry into Porn
Small Hands and Angel first met when she contacted his graphic design company about him doing some work for her website. They flirted somewhat over e-mails before meeting, and had astounding chemistry when they finally met in person. Their mutual love of tattoos, punk rock, and underground culture served as fertile common ground between them, and they soon began dating.
He filmed his first scene unexpectedly while he and Joanna were travelling. She had been intending to update her site, only her previously shot files to become corrupted and unusable. Put on the spot, she convinced her boyfriend Small Hands to shoot an impromptu scene with her in their hotel room, solely to have content for the website. He agreed, and soon began working extensively in Joanna's production studio, Burning Angel Entertainment. He and Angel have been interviewed multiple times for various "porn star couples" features for VICE and other online magazines. In 2013, he and a fellow member of Fenix TX assisted Joanna Angel produce a song for her film called Band Sluts. The band was called Joanna Angel & the Gigolos.
On Halloween day in 2016, Small Hands and Joanna Angel became husband and wife in Las Vegas, NV. The wedding was attended by fellow porn stars Draven Star, Charlotte Sartre, Lily Lane, Leigh Raven, Nikki Hearts, Ophelia Rain, Xander Corvus, and others.
